Naturopathic Perspectives’ mission and vision


Our clinic facilitates patient healing and promotes health education in a healthy and welcoming atmosphere. We fulfill the standards of naturopathic philosophy, and broaden our patients' awareness and knowledge of naturopathic medicine and its benefits.

Caralei (Carrey) Peters BSc, MSc, ND
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Clinic Director

Carrey’s love of nature and passion for science drew her to Naturopathic Medicine. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004, after studying Biomedical Science and Nutrition at the University of Guelph, and earning her Master of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario. Her thesis was published in the scientific journals Anesthesiology and Brain Research.

Carrey enjoys teaching and empowering her patients how to significantly improve their health and lifestyle. She has a successful family practice with special focus on children and women’s health, fertility, breastfeeding, dermatology, detoxification and cancer care. Carrey is also a registered Bowen practitioner (www.bowtech.com), Naturopathic Doula and certified Parenteral (IV) and Biopuncture Therapist.

Carrey has published and now peer-reviews articles for CAMline (www.camline.ca), an evidence-based website on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for healthcare professionals and the public. She also mentors naturopathic, medical and undergraduate McMaster University students, teaching them about the benefits of complementary and alternative medicine.

Carrey is an active member of both the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors, and licensed with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy.

She and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors, taking their daughters hiking and backcountry camping.

Lisa Tabrizi, BSc (Honours), ND
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

Lisa Tabrizi graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in May 2011, after completing four years of full-time study at the college. During her studies she completed a four-month externship at the Parkdale Community Health Centre, in Toronto, and a four-month externship at Naturopathic Perspectives. Lisa brings her passion for health and well-being to her practice. She is dedicated to facilitating the healing of others and emphasizes the importance of leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Lisa holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph with a major in Biological Science. She took several physiology and nutritional courses while completing her studies which furthered her interest in health and later led her to the naturopathic medicine program. She is committed to continuing her education and when possible, combines this love of education with her passion for travel. She has completed additional training in homeopathy in India and regularly attends health-related conferences and courses.

Lisa is registered and licensed with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and is certified in Health Care Provider CPR C and Standard First Aid.

Sylvie Hebert-Anders, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist, Osteopathy Current Study

Sylvie graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2005 and is an active member of the Ontario Massage Therapist Association and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

She changed her career after 15 years with Air Canada to pursue her dream of becoming an Osteopath. This modality saved her life from serious injury 10 years ago. She decided to go back to school knowing that she could have a huge positive impact in the life of others. Sylvie has studied CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and SomatoEmotional Release with the Upledger Institute, becoming a Teaching Assistant for the CranioSacral program. She then went on to complete her diploma for Registered Massage Therapy. She is also a qualified Reiki practitioner. She is presently enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, in her second year of study.

Sylvie’s mission is to help as many people as possible to achieve balance within the body, mind and soul. She approaches her work very meticulously and emphasizes client service to ensure they get maximum benefit from their treatment by using a combination of modalities.

Lori Goldblatt
Reiki Master

Lori Goldblatt began her career as an elementary school teacher in 1982. During this time she developed a unique intergenerational program, published a teaching manual on this subject, and began to facilitate workshops for various schools in Montreal. Lori is trained as a child safety specialist, and in CPR and First Aid.

Lori has trained and practiced as a Doula, which led her to pursue an interest in alternative therapies such as therapeutic touch, and then Reiki. Lori practiced Reiki for 14 years working in palliative care for cancer support clinics, as well as individuals wanting to maintain and facilitate health and healing on all levels. Lori is now completing a Traditional Reiki Mastership with her Reiki Master, Susan Macdonald.

Lori is also a facilitator of Five Tibetan Yoga, Transformative Mindfulness Techniques, and Mindfulness Meditations. Lori is a trained practitioner of Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Relaxation Treatments, Axiatonal Alignment Therapy, and Emotional Freedom Technique. Integrating and blending these various modalities with individual clients and in group sessions allows Lori to offer a wide range of simple, yet profound techniques which empower individuals of all ages to access their own wisdom so that they can find answers that will be the most meaningful and joyful in their lives.
